This lock is also protected by both a 1/2″ 60+ Rockwell hard plate and five total internal re-lockers. The Hard plate is a piece of hardened steel that absolutely destroys drill bits. The internal re-lockers fire if the lock is punched through securing the bolts in place. Both of these are essential security features and included on this safe.

In terms of security, the Vault Pro Elite Vault Door starts with a massive 2″ step system door that is the first layer of an overall 6-1/4″ thick door. Securing the door in place are eighteen 1.5″ x 4″ rotating solid steel locking bolts with 9 active on the opening side and 9 deadbolts on the hinge side. The frame is also built with 1/4″ steel all the way around making this vault door extremely pry resistant. When combined with the UL rated high security lock option, this vault door is insanely tough.

Fire Rating – Vault Pro Elite Vault Door

Most Vault Doors do not come with any fire rating but often include fire insulation material. The Vault Pro Elite Vault Door has a 2 hour fire rating at 1550 degrees. This fire rating is accomplished with 2,300 degree ceramic wool blanket installed into the door. Also included are dual Palusol intumescent door seals that expands to 7 times its size during a fire to keep both smoke and heat out.
