Inkas Titan TL-15 High Security Safe Review

Inkas safe company is based out of Canada and has been producing high security products for decades. They are one of the more well known safe companies on a global scale but haven’t had much success in the United States competing with American Security and Gardall. Overall, their safes are constructed well so long as you choose the correct lock. In this review, I will help you understand why the Inkas Titan TL-15 High Security Safe is a good product but not the best in the category.

Lock – Inkas Titan TL-15 High Security Safe

UL Approved High Security Electronic Lock

Included in the price is is the S&G UL approved high security electronic lock. This is an excellent quality lock made by a longstanding and reputable company. S&G has a premier reputation and makes very high quality locks. UL Approved type 1 is the highest security rating available. Finally, this lock is capable of having over 1 million possible combinations.

S&G UL Approved Type 2 High Security Mechanical Lock

There is also a second lock option that is the S&G UL Type 2 Mechanical Lock. This is one of only two mechanical locks I recommend as it is high quality, reliable and known for longevity. Finally, it uses a three number combination that rotates into the lock body on the inside of the safe.

Hard Plate and Re-Locker

Regardless of the lock option you choose, it will be protected by both a hard plate and tempered glass re-locker. The hard plate is a thick piece of hardened steel that destroys drill bits. The internal re-locker shatters when drilled and keeps the bolts locked in place if the thief were able to drill through the hard plate and attempt to punch the lock out.

Security – Inkas Titan TL-15 High Security Safe

The Inkas Titan TL-15 High Security Safe is UL rated as TL-15. This rating means it can be insured up to $125,000 and was tested against severe burglary attacks on the door, surviving at least 15 minutes.

It is built with two layers of steel in the door and body. Then, they add a high density concrete composite material which provides additional drill and cutting resistance. This high security safe also has thick solid steel locking bolts that extend one way in addition to a vertical locking bar on the hinge side.

Fire Rating

The Inkas Titan TL-15 High Security Safe has a 2 hour fire rating. This is accomplished with the concrete composite material. Also, keep in mind this is a factory test and not independently verified by ETL or UL.

It also has a Palusol door seal that expands 7 times its size during a fire and prevents smoke from entering the safe.

Style and Function

The Inkas Titan TL-15 High Security Safe is available in three textured finishes. Hardware includes a high strength metal L-Shaped drop down handle with chrome keypad or black dial and chrome fascia plate underneath. The interior is all metal with no carpeting. Once inside, you’ll find an adjustable or removable shelf. All in all, these safes are styled very well and will look great in any environment. Finally, it’s available in six different sizes and would work perfectly in residential or commercial applications.

Warranty

The Inkas Titan series comes with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. Inkas will pay for all shipping costs and for a technician to repair on site in your home. All in all, this is a reliable warranty from a good company.

The Bottom Line

Would I buy the Inkas Titan TL-15 High Security Safe to store my valuables? Yes, I definitely would. With the UL TL-15 burglary rating, UL rated high security S&G lock, two steel plates with concrete composite material and a 2 hour fire rating, this is definitely a solid high security safe.

With that said, the American Security CE series is even better. The American Security CE High Security Safes feature the same burglary rating, same quality locks but use a stronger concrete composite insulation, a much more attractive finish and are made in the USA by a long standing American company.
