I’ve been seeing this question, Are Stealth Gun Safes made in USA, pop up more and more in Google every time I do a search for a Stealth Gun Safe, so I thought I would answer the question directly and break down exactly what parts come from where because nearly every product in the world has parts sourced globally at this point. Stealth currently has three gun safe series, the Essential series, UL series and Premier series. They have fire ratings of 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 90 minutes with increasing steel throughout each series. In short, they are not made in USA but have sourced parts globally.
Lock
First and always most important for any safe is the lock and Stealth includes the NL UR-2020 UL approved Type 1 high security electronic lock. NL locks are designed and manufactured by Nick Gardner who has been developing electronic locks for over 50 years and invented the very first electronic lock. The company is based out of Italy where they manufacture the highest quality electronic boards in the world and use those boards in these locks. The lock bodies consisting of hardened steel and the Swing Bolt are produced nearby in a metal factory in Slovenia and the keypads are made in Korea. They are then assembled and distributed in the USA. This is in major contrast to a company like SecuRam or LaGard/DormaKaba where all components are made and assembled in China and S&G where components are sourced in Mexico, China and USA. NL assembled the best components from all over the world to develop the highest quality lock.
The Safe Itself
Stealth safe bodies and interiors for all three gun safe series are Made in China. China has made major leaps in manufacturing quality compared to twenty years ago and not all factories in China are the same. The Stealth gun safes look, feel and are higher quality than competing safes from China and the safes Made in USA or Mexico. Currently, the only manufacturers making safes in the USA at the price point of the Stealth Essential gun safes are the Liberty Centurion Gun Safes. While the Liberty Centurion gun safes are better than other imported lines like American Security, Kodiak, Stack-On, Steelwater and Winchester, I would rate the Stealth Safes much better. Whether it’s the quality of the interior, paint finish, safe construction, interior welds, or included accessories, Stealth stands out in all categories. So just because Stealth Gun Safes are not Made in USA doesn’t mean they are not better than those that are.

I think it says a lot when a company offers a lifetime warranty on their product and double the parts and labor warranty of every competitor. They have raving reviews and are growing rapidly for a reason.
