Recently, a company called Amarey has burst onto the Amazon scene with an unbeatable value Biometric Gun Safe. It’s the only biometric gun safe in the low $100 range and appears to be an incredible value, except for the fact that it is a giant piece of SHIT and the company is a total scam!!! The company claims it is “heavy duty” yet at 4 pounds and made of the thinnest gauge steel possible, you can literally open this POS with your hands.
Yes you read that right, you can pry it open with your bare hands.
In addition to the ridiculous security claims, Amarey also claims that it is waterproof and fire resistant which is just a complete lie. If you can open something with your bare hands that is not air tight, it is definitively not waterproof or fireproof.
Next, Amarey used several fake review websites to load their item with over 75 5 star reviews in 2 days within the product launch. Take a quick look at this fakespot review website and you’ll find that they received a grade of D: Click to read review.
When I first checked this site, they were an F, but since a lot of reviewers have now been posting 1 star reviews after being tricked by this shady company, the grade went up to a D.
I honestly feel awful for everyone tricked by this scam of a company and I am deeply concerned a child will end up with access to a firearm.
Safes are an area of security that need to be taken very seriously. With the absurd amount of recent school shootings that have taken place, we need to take every effort to protect our children and when a company just tries to make a quick buck at the expense of children’s lives, it’s infuriating. Please, please, please avoid this company and product at all costs.
