There seems to be an ever growing trend on Amazon with handgun safes where Chinese seller will take a cheap portable key locking box for around $20 with free shipping, get loads of reviews on it and then switch the entire page over to a more expensive safe in the $100 to $200 range. After reading several of the BILLCONCH biometric gun safe reviews, I started to realize that the majority of them were fake and the rest of them were for the wrong product. The fact that these Chinese sellers with zero conscious continue to trick people who have no idea about safes into buying a total POS really gets my blood boiling and I will continue to post these reviews calling every single one of them out for their trickery, lies and bullshit. In this review I’m going to pick apart their product page and explain why you should never buy this hunk of junk.
- Tough and Rugged… Yea Right: “Heavy Duty” 16 gauge steel, what a load of BS! 16 gauge steel is as thin as it gets and safes under 10 gauge are definitely not considered “Heavy Duty”. With a screwdriver and a hammer, I can easily pop this safe open in under a minute. But don’t worry, they guarantee long lasting protection for years to come.
- App Control…. Doesn’t work: Read through the reviews and you’ll quickly learn that their app does not work at all which is very common among Chinese companies trying to rip off hard working Americans.
- Reliable Biometric Scanner…. Doesn’t work: Read through more reviews and you’ll notice that all the real ones complain that the safe doesn’t work. They are correct, the biometric fingerprint scanner doesn’t work.
I’m sure by the time this gets indexed in Google, this Chinese company will have amassed so many bad reviews that they will take the page down, slap a new logo on it, create a new account and do it all over again. Well, I’ll tell you what, I’ll still be watching, I’ll still be writing and I’ll call out the new brand. Don’t trust any of these Chinese companies with ridiculous names like Billconch, I mean honestly, WTF does that even mean? A good quality alternative to this type of safe with a biometric scanner and app access would be the Vaultek Safes ending with an i such as the VT20i, VT10i, VTi, NMXi, and NSL20i depending on which size, style and functions you desire.
